Old film posters are more than just a good conversation piece. They are a good investment and a way to bring more joy to your home or workplace. Movie poster art is now recognized as one of the leading art forms of the 20th century, and these vintage movie posters show more than they tell. For many films, the original movie posters had to distill 2 hours or more of film into a single image.
Purchasing authentic movie posters is now just like purchasing art by Monet or Van Gogh. Old movie posters are rare, and their condition dictates their price to a certain extent. For a true classic film, check out our “Blow Up” movie poster selection.
We've got more than 125 new vintage movie poster acquisitions, including a now complete set of "wilding" posters for ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD. In addition the RINGO poster, we've acquired the two photographic posters, one with Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate and the other with Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. These styles aren't as unique as the faux Italian posters, but in person they really shine.
I also want to mention the passing of Peter Fonda. After biking and tripping for Roger Corman, Fonda produced and starred in the blockbuster, era-defining EASY RIDER. It's hard to believe he and Jane came from the same parents: as Pauline Kael noted in her review of KLUTE, Jane's "motor runs a little fast" - super intense, totally committed and always charging forward. Peter, on the other hand, was the definition of laid-back cool, which you can see in some of our posters for his films here.
