  • Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Black Cast vintage movie posters. Film/Art Gallery offers a wide range of movie posters and artwork for Black Cast films.

In Black Cast, we offer artwork that star Black actors or actresses. Some of the films on this gallery are:

Carmen Jones (1954), an American musical film starring Dorothy Dandridge and Harry Belafonte, directed and produced by Otto Preminger. The screenplay is based on the lyrics and book by Oscar Hammerstein II, from the 1943 stage musical of the same name. The story centres on Carmen Jones, a shameless vixen who works in a parachute factory in North Carolina. When she is arrested for fighting with a co-worker who reported her for arriving late for work, the leader of the Army guards Sgt. Brown assigns Corporal Joe who is a handsome guy to deliver Carmen Jones to the civilian authorities over 50 miles away. This is much to the dismay of Joe's fiancée Cindy Lou, who had agreed to marry him during his leave prior to his reporting for flight school and an eventual officer's commission.

Do the Right Thing (1989), an American comedy-drama film produced, written, and directed by Spike Lee. The story explores a Brooklyn neighbourhood’s simmering racial tension which culminates in violence on a hot summer day. Mookie is a 25-year-old pizza delivery man living in Bedford–Stuyvesant, with his sister Jade. Mookie and his girlfriend Tina have a toddler son named Hector. Mookie had a job in a local pizzeria owned by Sal, an Italian-American who has been in the neighbourhood for 25 years. Sal's eldest son, Pino, is a racist and does not get along with Mookie. Because of this, Pino is at odds with both his father and younger brother who are friendly with Mookie, who refuses to leave the majority African-American neighbourhood.

Black Panther (2018), an American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In Black Panther, Wakanda’s crowned king is T'Challa after his father's death and is challenged by Killmonger, who plans to abandon the country's isolationist policies and begin a global revolution.
