Live and Let Die (1973)

The Godfather (1972)

The Godfather is one of the most iconic movies in cinema history. Released in 1972, this film follows three generations of the Corleone family. This movie was a box office hit and earned several Oscars directed by Francis Ford Coppola. The original Godfather movie poster has the iconic depiction of the title being manipulated by a marionette handle. 

Magnum Force (1973)

Magnum Force is a 1973 American action film directed by Don Siegel and starring Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood, and Jill Ireland. The film was adapted from a novel of the same name by Joe Gores. The story follows Martin Riggs (Eastwood), an undercover Los Angeles police officer posing as a criminal who finds himself trapped in a plot to kill the city's most powerful mobster. Magnum Force was a huge success for Warner Bros. and was re-released in theaters during the 1980s. All of the movie posters, including ones from France and Germany, feature some sort of representation of Eastwood brandishing a large pistol. 

The Exorcist (1973)

The Exorcist was one of the most influential horror films ever made, and it's no wonder that the posters were designed with that kind of impact. Often ominous, the movie posters wonderfully portray the demonic aspect of the film. Of specific interest are the versions from France, Italy and Japan. Jaws (1975)

The Jaws movie posters for the 1975 thriller often show a shark attacking a woman while she swims in the ocean. For most viewers, this image perfectly captures the feeling of the movie, which upon release sparked a global fear of getting back in the water. There are several versions of the poster, including a beautiful one from Poland.
