Live and Let Die Movie Posters

Original Vintage Movie Posters @ Film/Art Gallery

Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Live and Let Die vintage movie posters, where we offer a wide range of artwork for one of cinema's ultimate action thriller films.

Live and Let Die, being the eighth James Bond 007 film was directed by Guy Hamilton and released in 1973. The producers Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, wanted Sean Connery to return after his role in the previous Bond film, Diamonds Are Forever, but he declined so they signed Roger Moore to play the lead role.

Earning $161 million at the box office, the impact of the film is quite visible since it was released during the Blaxploitation movement in the 1970s. The film leaves from the traditional Bond scenarios which were usually about nefarious storylines to stop world power structures and instead, places its significance on drug trafficking, a common trademark of the Blaxploitation era. The setting of the film takes place in the African American cultural centers of Harlem, New Orleans, and the Caribbean Islands. The film also contains several Blaxploitation stereotypes like afro hairstyles, belittling racial names, black gangsters, and "pimpmobiles".

The film was notable for featuring the first African-American Bond girl romantically involved with 007, Rosie Carver, who was played by Gloria Hendry. As a box office hit, the film received positive reviews from critics.

Film/Art Gallery's Live and Let Die movie poster collection includes Robert McGinnis's artwork for Roger Moore's first Bond film. Live and Let Die poster collection also showcases an ultra-rare special display poster for Moore.
