Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original MASH (M*A*S*H) vintage movie posters, where we offer a wide range of artwork for cinema's ultimate drama comedy film.

M*A*S*H (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) is a 1970 American multimedia franchise comprising of a series of plays, a film, television series, novels, and other properties, owned by 20th Century Studios (formerly 20th Century Fox ) and based on the semi-autobiographical fiction of Richard Hooker.

M*A*S*H is a feature film adapted from the original novel. It was directed by Robert Altman. In 1968, Richard Hooker wrote MASH: A Novel about Three Army Doctors based on his experiences as a surgeon at the 8055th MASH in South Korea. He published numerous other novels based on that group. A total of 15 M*A*S*H novels were published from 1968 to 1977, some co-authored by William E. Butterworth.

M*A*S*H franchise presents a group of fictional characters who served at the fictional "4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (M*A*S*H)" during the Korean War, based on the historic 8055th MASH unit.

The main character, Hawkeye Pierce, played by Donald Sutherland in the 1970 film M*A*S*H  and by Alan Alda on the television series also titled M*A*S*H.

Almost all the versions in the series fit into the genre of black comedy or dramedy; the lead acts were doctors or nurses, and the practice of medicine was at the center of events. However, to relieve the pressures of duty in a field hospital close to the front line horror of war, the staff engages in humorous practical jokes, foolishness, and petty rivalries off-duty.

Film/Art Gallery's M*A*S*H movie poster collection includes an Italian, Polish and Australian versions, available on Australian Daybill (13x30) size.

Film/Art Gallery movie posters are original prints and film poster collectibles. These are original movie posters. We do not carry any movie poster reproductions or reprints of any kind.
