Original Davidson, Boaz Movie Posters
Boaz Davidson movie posters from the Israeli Lemon Popsicle series and his subsequent American Cannon productions are authentic documents of international exploitation cinema at its most commercially single-minded — original prints for one of the most productive directors of teenage comedy and action product from the late 1970s through the 1980s. Shop our Boaz Davidson collection for original paper from his Israeli and international productions.
The original Israeli and European campaign materials for the Lemon Popsicle series (1978 onward) — produced for the Golan-Globus operation that became Cannon Films — are the most collectible items in the Davidson catalogue. The Israeli theatrical posters feature Hebrew-language campaign artwork that operates in an entirely different visual register from the European export versions produced in German, French, and English for international distribution. European versions of the early Lemon Popsicle one-sheets are now genuinely scarce in fine flat condition, having been produced in quantities adequate only for their original booking commitments. His Cannon-era American productions generated the standard one-sheet campaigns of that period, with lobby cards and insert cards surviving in better numbers than the Israeli originals. British quad versions for selected titles reflect the UK distribution of Cannon product through the mid-1980s.
