Original Darren McGavin Movie Posters
Darren McGavin movie posters span a career that placed him at the centre of some of American cinema's most beloved genre productions — authentic original prints for the actor whose roles in The Night Stalker and A Christmas Story (1983) gave him an enduring place in American popular culture. Find original Darren McGavin campaign materials across his film and television productions.
The Night Stalker television film from 1972 — and its sequel The Night Strangler — were promoted through theatrical-style campaigns that generated one-sheets and lobby cards for bookings unusual for TV productions of the period; original paper from these promotions is now genuinely scarce given the unconventional distribution model. His appearances in The Man with the Golden Arm (1955) alongside Frank Sinatra produced campaign material from the United Artists release that represents one of the decade's most striking dramatic poster campaigns. A Christmas Story (1983), in which McGavin's Old Man anchors the film's nostalgic comedy, generated one-sheets and lobby card sets from Warner Bros. that are now among the most collected 1980s family comedy materials — original first-release paper in fine flat condition is now scarce. The insert card format for A Christmas Story, produced for regional and counter display, presents the campaign artwork in an often-overlooked narrow vertical.
