  • Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Frank Sinatra vintage movie posters from his critically acclaimed catalog of timeless musical/film performances.

Francis “Albert” Sinatra is one of the most influential American artists of 20th century music. He started as a band singer with The Hoboken Four and began lessons from vocal coach John Quinlan. A perfectionist, renowned for his performing presence and bright blue eyes, he earned the popular nickname "Ol' Blue Eyes". He signed with Columbia Records in 1943, released his debut album in 1946 and starred in the Emmy-winning television special Frank Sinatra: A Man and His Music in 1965.

His two greatest albums, September of My Years (1965), a partnership with songwriter Antônio Carlos Jobim (1967) and chart success with the hit singles “Strangers in the Night” (1966) and “My Way” (1969) sold more than 150 million records. The Manchurian Candidate (1962) is perhaps Sinatra’s greatest film and won him the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor. He also won eleven Grammy Awards.

Sinatra's divorce from first wife, Nancy Sinatra, in 1951 along with his subsequent stormy marriage to actress Ava Gardner harmed his reputation. A reported incident with columnist Lee Mortimer resulted in a five-year professional decline and personal depression. His voice grew increasingly gritty and coarse which was the product of years of abuse from cigarettes and alcohol. He announced his retirement in 1971. He suffered from failing memory and various physical infirmities during his last few years until shortly before his death in 1998 of bladder cancer and heart and kidney disease. He remained a compelling showman to the end.

Film/Art Gallery’s collection of original Frank Sinatra performance posters includes a poster from the classic thriller directed by John Frankenheimer. Also included in the Frank Sinatra poster collection is an ultra-rare first release poster for the classic Rat Pack movie, Ocean's 11. This artwork - by Averardo Ciriello - was used for several subsequent re-issues of the film.

Film/Art Gallery movie posters are original prints and film poster collectibles. These are original movie posters. We do not carry any movie poster reproductions or reprints of any kind.
