  • The Shining movie posters from Kubrick's 1980 horror masterpiece gather original theatrical material from one of cinema's most meticulously crafted suspense films. Saul Bass designed the primary campaign materials: his iconic face-in-a-maze motif has become one of the most recognizable images in horror film history, and original examples from the 1980 Warner Bros. release are among the most desirable pieces in any Kubrick or horror collection.

The Saul Bass one-sheets come in standard and advance variants — the advance uses the maze motif with minimal text; the regular release adds cast names and the terrifying axe-through-door imagery. Both carry Bass's signature graphic economy: everything non-essential has been removed, leaving an image of pure dread. British quad versions adapt the campaign differently, emphasizing Jack Nicholson's face in the door frame — the 'Here's Johnny' composition — while maintaining the cold blue color palette. French and Italian variants carry their own interpretations, sometimes prioritizing Kubrick's directorial name over the horror imagery, positioning the film within the European art-cinema tradition rather than the horror genre.

Available in US one-sheets (27×41), British quads (30×40), French grandes affiches, Italian foglio, and lobby card sets. Condition ranges from Fine to Very Fine. Saul Bass originals from the 1980 Warner Bros. release are seldom found in fine unfolded condition.
