  • Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Jack Nicholson vintage movie posters from his critically acclaimed catalog of timeless cinematic performances and creations.

Jack Nicholson (full name John Joseph Nicholson, born on April 22, 1937) is one of the most prominent American motion-picture actors of his generation and filmmaker whose career spanned more than 60 years. He is known for his versatile portrayals of unconventional, alienated outsiders supporting roles, including comedy, romance, and darkly comic portrayals of anti-heroes and villainous characters.

After graduating from high school, he moved to California, where he took an office job in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s animation department. MGM offered him an entry-level job as an animator, but Nicholson declined. His long-time desire is to become an actor.

With his acting career heading nowhere, Nicholson entered a career behind the camera as a writer and director. His first writing success was the screenplay for the 1967 counterculture film The Trip (directed by Corman), which starred Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper.

Nicholson made his film debut in 1958, a low-budget teen drama film The Cry Baby Killer. When a spot opened up in Fonda and Hopper's Easy Rider film in 1969, Nicholson auditioned and the film became his first big acting break. He played George Hanson, an alcoholic lawyer, for which he received his first Oscar nomination.

Film/Art Gallery’s collection of original Jack Nicholson movie posters includes The Shining film, an adaptation of Stephen King's novel. Jack Nicholson's poster collection also includes The Trip, written by him.

Film/Art Gallery movie posters are original prints and film poster collectibles. These are original movie posters. We do not carry any movie poster reproductions or reprints of any kind.
