  • Jaws movie posters from Spielberg's 1975 thriller document the birth of the modern blockbuster, with original one-sheets and advance formats representing the film that transformed summer moviegoing. Roger Kastel's advance one-sheet — the great white rising through dark water toward a swimmer on the surface — is among the most recognized images in American popular culture, and original examples from the 1975 Universal release have held collector value since the film's record-breaking opening.

The standard release US one-sheets use the Kastel shark image in full color; the advance version, with its darker palette and minimal text, is rarer and more sought-after. The same image was adapted with varying degrees of fidelity across international markets: British quad versions use the shark at a different angle, French grandes affiches carry the Kastel design with French text, Italian foglio prints deploy their own illustrative interpretation. Japanese B2 originals were produced in multiple variants for the film's extended Tokyo run. Lobby card sets document the film scene by scene in the US standard format of the period.

Kastel, who also painted the iconic Empire Strikes Back romantic advance poster, gives Jaws campaign materials a fine-art quality that elevates them well above typical studio commercial production of the era. Available in multiple formats and international versions.
