Original Darabont, Frank Movie Posters
Frank Darabont movie posters from his adaptation trilogy — The Shawshank Redemption (1994), The Green Mile (1999), and The Mist (2007) — are among the most critically esteemed drama and horror campaign materials produced in American cinema over that period. Shop our Frank Darabont collection for original paper from his three major Stephen King adaptations.
The original one-sheets for The Shawshank Redemption feature Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman in the Castle Rock Entertainment campaign that initially struggled theatrically before becoming one of the most traded drama posters of the decade through subsequent reissue and re-appreciation. Genuine first-release examples from the 1994 Columbia campaign are now genuinely scarce in fine flat unfolded condition, having been greatly outnumbered by the multiple reissues that followed the film's post-theatrical cultural elevation. The Green Mile (1999) produced a Warner campaign distinguished by Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan's central imagery, with lobby card sets offering scene-by-scene documentation of the film's considerable running time. British quad versions of both films offer compositional variants of the US campaigns. The Mist (2007) produced a Dimension Films campaign in a markedly different horror register from the drama campaigns of the earlier two films, with one-sheets drawing firmly on creature-feature graphic tradition.
