  • Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Anthony Hopkins vintage movie posters from his critically acclaimed catalog of timeless cinematic performances.

Anthony Hopkins (Philip Anthony Hopkins, born December 31st, 1937) is a Welsh stage film actor, director, and producer. Hopkins was born on New Year's Eve in 1937 in Margam, a suburb of Port Talbot, Glamorgan. His parents were Annie Muriel and Richard Arthur Hopkins, a baker. Hopkins was appointed a CBE in 1987 and was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for "services to the arts" at Buckingham Palace in 1993.

Hopkins' first stage appearance was in Palace Theatre, Swansea, in 1960 with Swansea Little Theatre's production of Have a Cigarette. Hopkins' most famous role is a cannibalistic serial killer in The Silence of the Lambs as Hannibal Lecter, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1991, with Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling. His role in The Silence of the Lambs has been labeled by the AFI as the number-one film villain. In the mid-1970s, Richard Attenborough, who directed five of Hopkins films, called him "the greatest actor of his generation.

Hopkins played the Norse god Odin in Thor (2011) and its sequels, Thor: The Dark World (2013) and Thor: Ragnarok (2017). After playing villainous characters, Hopkins appeared in Transformers: The Last Knight in 2017.

Our collection of original Anthony Hopkins movie posters include a Hungarian version of The Lion in Winter, a 1968 drama film starring Katharine Hepburn and Peter O'Toole. We also include Anthony Hopkins posters for the film, The Silence of the Lambs.

Film/Art Gallery movie posters are original prints and film poster collectibles. These are original movie posters. We do not carry any movie poster reproductions or reprints of any kind.
