Dear Friends & Movie Lovers
Hello from Hollywood, where we are gearing up for the Cinespia at Hollywood Forever Cemetery Screening season, which kicks off in less than two weeks. Opening night is sold out but you can still get tickets for such upcoming films as VERTIGO, CASABLANCA, SPIRITED AWAY, ALIEN and more at cinespia.org.
Click on the poster or go here to see our posters for RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, which will be screening on June 23rd.
We're also excited about the Broadway revival of Mart Crowley's ground-breaking play THE BOYS IN THE BAND, which has just begun previews at the Booth Theatre.
The 1970 film version was nicely directed (by William Friedkin - a year before his Oscar-winning FRENCH CONNECTION) and features fine performances by the ensemble, who had originated their roles in the first NYC stage production.
It's interesting to see how some of the publicity for the current production has used imagery associated with the original play and film. We've got a number of very cool posters for the film; to see them all, just click the image or go here.
