This film is about a Russian Jewish handyman, who is charged and imprisoned without trial. Based on Bernard Malamud's 1966 novel The Fixer, it is based on a true story, and reminds us of the brutality and rampant anti-Semitism of the final years of Tsarist rule. Bass' poster design represents the passage of time between his arrest and trial as a literal journey. The readily recognizable forms of Kiev's famous Saint Sophia Cathedral far in the distance serve to emphasize the solitude of a single figure making his way across a vast desolate landscape that stands for the mass of tribulations that he has to overcome in his quest to prove his innocence.FREE STANDARD SHIPPING ON ALL DOMESTIC ORDERS
