  • Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Natalie Wood vintage movie posters from her critically acclaimed catalog of timeless cinematic performances.

Born in California, Natalia Nikolaevna Zakharenko or Natalie Wood (July 20th, 1938 – November 29th, 1981) was an American actress whose career began as a child and successfully moved into young adult roles. At the age of eight, she was given a role in Miracle on 34th Street (1947). Wood was well-known for Rebel Without a Cause (1955), West Side Story (1961) and Splendor in the Grass (1961) along with earning a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. The classic Hollywood star was married to Richard Gregson and Robert Wagner, yet her career continued with films as Inside Daisy Clover (1964), Sex and the Single Girl (1964), and Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice (1969).

Natalie Wood appeared more often in television. She acted in only two feature films throughout the 70s, including a remake of the film From Here to Eternity (1979) for which she received a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination. Critics have suggested that Natalie Wood is a portrait of modern American womanhood in transition

On November 29th, 1981, Wood was reported drowned off Catalina Island at the age of 43. Her death has been explained by conflicting witness statements with emphasis her alleged affairs. In 2018,  Robert Wagner was named as a person of interest in the ongoing investigation into her death. Natalie Wood body was buried in Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles.

The case surrounding the Hollywood star's death was reopened in November 2011 after Wagner was alleged responsible for Wood's death, but denied any involvement.
