    Vanessa Redgrave was born on January 30th, 1937 and is an English actress and activist. She was also proclaimed as “The greatest actress of our Time”, by Tennessee Williams. Redgrave is also the recipient of the Triple Crown of Acting, and was inducted to the American Theatre Hall of Fame, and received the BAFTA Fellowship. The acclaimed actress is the daughter of Sir Michael Redgrave and Lady Redgrave who is the actress Rachel Kempson, the sister of Lynn Redgrave and Corin Redgrave.

    Regarded as a true acting force, Vanessa Redgrave rose to prominence in 1961 playing Rosalind in the Shakespeare comedy “As You Like It” with the Royal Shakespeare Company and has since starred in more than 35 productions on Broadway and in London's West End, winning the 1984 Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Revival for The Aspern Papers, and the 2003 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for the comeback of Long Day's Journey into Night.

    On screen, Vanessa Redgrave has starred in scores of films and is a six-time Oscar nominee, winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the title role in the film Julia (1977). She was also nominated for her films Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment in 1966, Isadora in 1968, Mary, Queen of Scots in 1971, The Bostonians in 1984, and Howards End in 1992.
