Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Jean-Luc Godard vintage movie posters from his critically acclaimed catalog of timeless cinematic contributions.
Jean-Luc Godard is a French-Swiss screenwriter, film director, and film critic. He is a prominent pioneer of the 1960s French New Wave film movement and most influential French filmmaker of the post-war era. He received his first global acclaim for his directorial debut film Breathless in 1960. The film received Prix Jean Vigo and Silver Bear for Best Director at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1960. He was ranked third in the Sight and Sound poll in 2002 in the critics's top ten directors of all time. He also was awarded for Academy Honorary Award in 2010, in which he did not attend the award ceremony.
Godard produced Sauve Qui Peut (La Vie) in 1980, the first of a series of more mainstream movies marked by autobiographical currents. It was followed by Passion and Lettre à Freddy Buache, both produced in 1982, Prénom Carmen in 1984, and Grandeur et décadence d'un petit commerce de cinéma in 1986.
