Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of the vintage original The Omen posters, where we provide a substantial choice of artwork for one of cinema's most memorable horror movies.
The Omen (1976) is believed to have had one of the most cursed productions in film history. This American-British supernatural film was directed by Richard Donner with David Seltzer writing the story. The movie was starred by Gregory Peck, David Warner, Lee Remick, Billie Whitelaw, Harvey Spencer Stephens, Patrick Troughton, Martin Benson, and Leo McKern. The Omen follows the young son of an American diplomat and his wife, living in London. The child seems to be marked by the sign of Satan with the infamous "666". It soon becomes apparent that the child might be the Anti-Christ incarnate, possessing evil powers which prevent anyone from standing in his way.
Film/Art Gallery offers a wide style range of The Omen movie posters from the supernatural horror film's theatrical release.
Distributed by 20th Century Fox in 1976, The Omen received mixed reviews from critics and was a billboard success, grossing over $60 million at the U.S. box office. It went on to become one of the highest-grossing films of 1976. The religious horror film picked up two Oscar nominations, with Jerry Goldsmith winning the Academy Award for Best Original Score.
The Omen's success spawned a franchise, starting with Damien: Omen II, released two years later. The third installment, Omen III: The Ultimate Conflict, was released in 1981, with sequel Omen IV: The Awakening released in 1991. A remake of The Omen was released on June 6th, 2006 in line with the "06.06.06" Satanic marking.
