Original Vintage Movie Posters @ Film/Art Gallery

Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Studio Ghibli vintage movie posters, from the studio's critically acclaimed catalog of timeless cinematic creations.

Studio Ghibli Inc. is a Japanese animation film studio founded on  June 15th, 1985 by directors Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata and producer Toshio Suzuki headquartered in Koganei, Tokyo. Studio Ghibli is known for its high-quality filmmaking and fantastical artistry. The studio is best known for its animated feature films and won both critical and popular praise and influenced other animation studios. Topcraft's anime film Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984) was a huge success.

Spirited Away won the Golden Bear award in 2002 and the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film in 2003. Totoro, a character from the film My Neighbor Totoro, is the studio's mascot.

The name Ghibli is based on the Libyan-Arabic name for the hot desert wind of Italy. Hayao Miyazaki gave the Italian noun ghibli, an idea that the studio would "blow a new wind through the anime industry".

Ghibli's films are among the 10 highest-grossing anime films made in Japan, with Spirited Away (2001) being the second highest, grossing over US$360 million worldwide. Most of their productions have won the Animage Anime Grand Prix award, and four have won the Japan Academy Prize for Animation of the Year.

Our collection of Studio Ghibli movie posters include Castle In The Sky and Princess Mononoke, Studio Ghibli posters in a very fine condition.

Film/Art Gallery movie posters are original prints and film poster collectibles. These are original movie posters. We do not carry any movie poster reproductions or reprints of any kind.
