  • Steve McQueen movie posters from the 1960s-1970s document one of cinema's most magnetic action stars, gathering original material from iconic roles in Bullitt, The Great Escape, and Le Mans. His theatrical paper is among the most consistently collected of any star of his generation.

The career spans a remarkable range. The Magnificent Seven (1960) introduced him to mainstream audiences alongside Yul Brynner; his campaign materials from that film are among his most frequently sought. The Great Escape (1963) gave him his most iconic role — Hilts, the 'Cooler King' — and the Allied Artists campaign is a masterpiece of understated action design. Bullitt (1968) and its real-San Francisco car chase produced campaign materials that capture the film's kinetic energy in static form. The Thomas Crown Affair (1968), Le Mans (1971), Papillon (1973), and The Towering Inferno (1974) extend the range into different genres without losing the essential McQueen gravity. His final films — Tom Horn (1980) and The Hunter (1980) — were released posthumously, adding historical poignancy to their campaigns.

Available in US one-sheets, Italian foglio, French grandes affiches, British quads, and lobby card sets. Condition runs Fine to Very Fine. Original theatrical paper from Bullitt, The Great Escape, and Papillon is now genuinely scarce in fine condition.
