Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi or Return of the Jedi is the sixth film in the "Star Wars saga" and the first film to utilize THX technology. Released in 1983, the film is directed by Richard Marquand, screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and story by George Lucas, who is also the executive producer.

It takes place one year after The Empire Strikes Back. The film was brought to life by the casts Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels, David Prowse, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew and Frank Oz.

The merciless emperor of the Galactic Empire constructed a second Death Star to destroy the Rebel Alliance. In order to halt it, the Rebels fought back by launching a full attack. Luke Skywalker, after training with Yoda, now a Jedi Knight, struggled to help his father, Darth Vader back to the light side of the Force.
