  • Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Piero Schivazappa vintage movie posters from his critically acclaimed catalog of timeless cinematic creations.

Director, assistant director, and writer Piero Schivazappa was born on April 14, 1935 in Colorno, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, credited for directing twenty-eight movies and episodes for various mini-series. One of his highlights is the comedy-romance TV movie An American Love (1994, Un amore americano). The story revolves around an Italian professor joining a course in the United States and falls in love with his American assistant. It was written by Cesare Bornazzini and Andrea Galeazzi, starring American actress and model Brooke Shields, Volpi Cup, (Best Actor) Carlo Delle Piane, and Italian actor Memè Perlini.

His TV mini-series includes Un enfant dans la tourmente (1990), starring Carlo Delle Piane, German actress Ilona GrĂĽbel, and Jean-Claude Bouillon. He wrote the film Incontro (1971), a love story between a young man and a woman who was married to a businessman, starring Massimo Ranieri, Florinda Bolkan, and Claudio Giorgi. The film The Laughing Woman (1969) is about a rich and sadistic man who abducts a female journalist as a subject to his unpleasant games, written with Paolo Levi and starring Philippe Leroy, Dagmar Lassander, and Lorenza Guerrieri. Another film is Una sera c'incontrammo (1975), starring Johnny Dorelli, Fran Fullenwider, and Lia Tanzi. His last film (not for television) is Lady of the Night (1986), original title La signora della notte), about Angelina who is brutally raped leading to her involvement in dangerous relations with unknown men and commits fatal crimes; it was written by Galliano Juso and stars Serena Grandi, Fabio Sartor, and Francesca Topi. The film received critique that there's a lot of nudity and the story is somewhat intriguing to watch.

Film/Art Gallery’s collection of original Piero Schivazappa posters includes a 1 Sheet (27x41) poster of The Laughing Woman (Femina Ridens), a groovy sexploitation flick, distributed in the U.S. by Radley Metzger's Audubon Films; aka THE FRIGHTENED WOMAN. Piero Schivazappa poster collection also includes an Italian Photobusta (18x26) of The Laughing Woman (Femina Ridens).
