Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Luigi Scattini vintage movie posters from his critically acclaimed catalog of timeless cinematic creations.

Italian film director, editor, and screenwriter Luigi Scattini (May 17, 1927 - July 12, 2010) was born in Piedmont, Italy. He graduated in law and began his career as a journalist and eventually a film critic for several weekly magazines, such as the popular and long-running Italian weekly celebrity gossip magazine Gente and Oggi news magazine, published in Milan, Italy and considered one of the oldest magazines in the country.

Scattini entered the cinema industry in 1960s as a director of sponsored film, defined by film archivist Rick Prelinger as a film made for a specific purpose other than as a work of art. These films were designed to serve a specific pragmatic purpose for a limited time, just like mondo documentaries usually depicted sensational topics, scenes, or situations which include portrayals of foreign cultures and on taboos.

His several feature films, including the film War Italian Style (Due marines e un generale; 1965), an Italian comedy film directed by Luigi Scattini, starring comedian duo Franco Franchi and Ciccio Ingrassia with cinema icon and stunt performer Buster Keaton.

His daughter, actress Monica Scattini, appeared in Maniaci sentimentali, and she received two awards for Best Supporting Actress. He died at the age of 83 years old in 2010.
