Original Robocop Movie Posters
RoboCop movie posters rank among the defining graphic artifacts of 1980s science-fiction cinema — the theatrical campaigns for Paul Verhoeven's 1987 dystopian satire produced some of the decade's most striking imagery, the armoured figure of Officer Murphy against the blighted Detroit cityscape becoming immediately iconic in every international market. Verhoeven's European sensibility gave the film a satirical edge that distinguished its marketing from straightforward action fare.
Shop our RoboCop collection for original one-sheets and international formats. The US one-sheet — Peter Weller in full armour, weapon drawn — is among the strongest single images of the decade's action-science-fiction output. German A1 versions leaned into the industrial imagery of the blighted city, while Japanese B2 editions emphasised the manga-adjacent robot-protagonist design that made the film particularly successful in that market.
RoboCop 2 (1990) and RoboCop 3 (1993) produced their own theatrical materials for completists. Original US one-sheets from the 1987 release in fine flat condition are now scarce — the film's massive theatrical run meant high initial print volumes, but correspondingly high attrition across nearly four decades of display and storage. Surviving examples in genuinely fine unfolded condition are difficult to source and command collector premiums when they do surface. The franchise's ongoing cultural relevance sustains robust collector demand.
