He also took part in the creation of few other house films during the 1980s. He had a role in the Rainer Werner Fassbinder film Querelle in 1982, a West German-French English-language arthouse film adapted from the novel Querelle of the Brest by Jean Genet's in 1947.

Ripploh performed as Axel von Auersperg in a Television film titled Axel von Auersperg in 1974. He appeared also in a Television film titled Monolog eines Stars as Lehrer in 1975. In the same year, he also appeared as Die griechische Gott-Tunte in the film Die Betörung der blauen Matrosen. He also took the role as a gangster in the movie Kamikaze 1989, directed by Wolf Gremm, based on the novel by Per Wahloo, Murder on the Thirty-First Floor. He was also Stefan in the film Niko: aus der Grosse zu den Sternen in 1986.
