Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Wolfgang Reitherman vintage movie posters from his critically acclaimed catalog of timeless cinematic creations.

Credited as Woolie Reitherman or Wolfgang Reitherman (June 26, 1909 – May 22, 1985), Reitherman was a German-American director, animator, and producer who was one of the Nine Old Men of core animators at Walt Disney Productions. He emerged as a key figure at Disney during the 1960s and 1970s for his animated feature films from One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961) through The Fox and the Hound (1981).

He started to work on a number of Disney shorts, including The Band Concert, Music Land, and Elmer Elephant and made animations of the Slave in the Magic Mirror in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937). He animated Monstro in Pinocchio (1940), the fight in The Rite of Spring in Fantasia (1940), and also in Dumbo (1941). After serving in the US Army Air Forces, he animated the Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (1949).

He produced Cinderella (1950), Alice in Wonderland (1951), Peter Pan (1953), the scene with Captain Hook, Lady and the Tramp (1955), he directed The Jungle Book (1967), The Aristocats (1970), Robin Hood (1973), The Rescuers (1977), Goliath II (1960), the Honey Tree (1966), and Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day (1968) which had won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. In 1980, he developed an adaptation of The Little Broomstick by Mary Stewart, and the following year, he retired.

On 1985, he died in a single-car accident near his California home at the age of 75, and in 1989, he was named a Disney Legend.
