    Rob Reiner is an American comedian, actor, and filmmaker. His first role was as Michael Stivic in the sitcom All in the Family on the CBS in 1971-1979, in which he earned two Primetime Emmy Awards and nominations.

    He was recognized by the Directors Guild of America Awards, with nominations for Stand by Me in 1986, When Harry Met Sally in 1989, and A Few Good Men in 1992 which received a nomination for four Academy Awards and won the Academy Awards for Best Picture, also earning him four nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Director.

    Reiner major films includes This is Spinal Tap in 1984, The Princess Bride in 1987, Misery in 1990, The American President in 1995, The Bucket List in 2007, and LBJ in 2016. He also appeared in some of his own films that include Throw Momma from the Train in 1987, Sleepless in Seattle in 1993, Bullets Over Broadway in 1994, The First Wives Club in 1996, and EDtv in 1999.

    He continued to act in supporting roles in several films and television shows, such as Throw Momma from the Train, Sleepless in Seattle, Bullets over Broadway, The First Wives Club, Primary Colors New Girl, and the Wolf of Wall Street.

    His movie The Princess Bride received People's Choice Awards at the Toronto International Film Festival and Best Dramatic Presentation at the Hugo Awards. The First Wives Club earned Best Cast at National Board of Review in 1996. The movie The Wolf of Wall Street was nominated for Best Ensemble Cast at the Seattle Film Critics Society in 2014.
