Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Octopussy vintage movie posters, where we offer a wide range of artwork for one of cinema's ultimate action thriller films.
Octopussy is a spy film and the thirteenth in the James Bond 007 series made by EON Productions in 1983. With Albert R. Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson as its producers, it was the second film Moore has done with Swedish actress Maud Adams, the first was The Man with the Golden Gun in 1974. Directed by John Glen, it was released in 1983, the same year as the release of the unofficial James Bond film Never Say Never Again.
Although the film’s plot is original, it is partly based on Ian Fleming’s short story collection, Octopussy and The Living Daylights in 1966.
The film follows Special Agent 007 James Bond (Roger Moore) while he solves the murder of agent 009 who was killed in East Germany holding a fake Fabergé egg. The trail leads him to India, where he meets rich Afghan prince, Kamal Khan, and his associate, Octopussy (Maud Adams) - a mysterious woman who runs a smuggling ring under the cover of a moving circus. Her real motives are more ominous, and Bond discovers a conspiracy to blow up a US Air Force base in Germany.
The film was commended because of its action sequences and locations.
Film/Art Gallery's Octopussy movie poster collection includes a variety of Octopussy poster artworks by Daniel Goozee for Roger Moore's second-to-last Bond film.
