  • Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Michael Caine vintage movie posters, from his critically acclaimed catalog of timeless cinematic creations.

Michael Caine was born Maurice Joseph Micklewhite in London, an English actor, producer, and author. He left school at age 15 and took a lot of working-class jobs before joining the British army and serving in Korea during the Korean War, where he saw combat. When he returned to England, he got a job as an assistant stage manager. He was advised by his agent to adopt the name, Caine, which was taking from a marquee that advertised The Caine Mutiny (1954).

Caine began his acting career at the age of 20 in Horsham, Sussex, when he responded to an advertisement in The Stage for an assistant stage manager who also performed small walk-on roles for the Horsham-based Westminster Repertory Company who were performing at the Carfax Electric Theatre. He then adopted "Michael White" as his stage name in July 1953.

In 1998, his performance in Little Voice won him a Golden Globe Award, and for The Cider House Rules (1999), for which he won his second Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Caine is known as a British cultural icon, with Mairi Mackay of CNN stating: "Michael Caine has been personifying British cool since the swinging sixties.

Film/Art Gallery's collection of Michael Caine movie posters showcases Japanese, French, Polish, Belgian and British versions of his films, such as The Dark Knight by Heath Ledger as The Joker, Dressed To Kill directed by Brian DePalma and Woman Times Seven 7 directed by Vittorio De Sica.
