  • Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original McCabe & Mrs. Miller vintage movie posters. Film/Art Gallery offers a wide range of movie posters and artwork for the cinema's ultimate drama films.

McCabe & Mrs. Miller is a 1971 American revisionist Western film directed by Robert Altman, and starring Julie Christie and Warren Beatty. The screenplay by Brian McKay and Altman is based on the 1959 novel McCabe by Edmund Naughton. Altman mentioned it as an "anti-Western film" because the film subverts or ignores a number of Western conventions.

The film has received favorable critical reviews since its release and gained an Oscar nomination for Julie Christie in the Best Actress category. McCabe & Mrs. Miller is considered the 8th greatest Western of all time by the American Film Institute on AFI's 10 Top 10 list in 2008 and, in 2010 was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress in the United States National Film Registry as being "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant".

Set in winter in the Old West, dumb but charming John McCabe arrives in a young, Pacific Northwest town to set up a whorehouse/tavern. The shrewd Mrs. Miller, a professional madam, arrives soon after construction starts. She offers to utilize her experience to help McCabe run his business while sharing in the profits. The whorehouse thrives and McCabe and Mrs. Miller draw closer, despite their clashing philosophies and intelligence. On the other hand, mining deposits in the town tempt the attention of a major corporation, which moves to buy out McCabe along with the rest of what he has built. McCabe declines, and his decision has major repercussions for him, Mrs. Miller, and the town.

Film/Art Gallery’s collection of original McCabe & Mrs. Miller movie posters include an International Style 6 Sheet (81x81), with artwork by Richard Amsel. McCabe & Mrs. Miller's poster collection also includes a special poster produced by the Bill Gold Advertising agency.
