Reginald Le Borg was an Austrian film director. He has directed 68 films between 1936 and 1974. He made a series of low-budget horror films in the 1940s at Universal Studios. His most expensive and successful movie is San Diego I Love You, featuring Buster Keaton in a supporting role.
He directed and wrote the following movies: Calling Dr. Death and Heavenly Music (writer) in 1943; Adventure in Music, Dead Man's Eyes, San Diego I Love You, Destiny, Jungle Woman, The Mummy's Ghost, and Weird Woman in 1944; Joe Palooka, Champ, Little Iodine, Susie Steps Out in 1946; Philo Vance's Secret Mission, and Fall Guy in 1947; Trouble Makers in 1948; Fighting Fools and Hold That Baby! 1949; Young Daniel Boone in 1950; Joe Palooka in Triple Cross in 1951; That Kind of Girl in 1952; The Flanagan Boy (aka Bad Blonde), The Great Jesse James Raid, and Sins of Jezebel in 1953; The Black Sleep in 1956; Voodoo Island, War Drums, and The Dalton Girls in 1957; The Flight that Disappeared in 1961; Deadly Duo in 1962; Diary of a Madman in 1963; The Eyes of Annie Jones in 1964. He was an active director from 1936 to 1974.
He was born in Vienna, Austria on 11th of December 1902 with the surname Groebel and died in Los Angeles, California on 25th of March 1989 from a heart attack. He emigrated to America permanently and changed his name legally from Harry Groebel to Reginald Le Borg in his naturalization petition in 1937.
