    Marc Lawrence is an American director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his several collaborations with Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant. He is the screenwriter of the comedy films Forces of Nature, the romantic comedy film in 1999, Miss Congeniality, a comedy film in 2000, and Miss Congeniality: Armed and Fabulous, an American comedy film in 2005. He also wrote and directed the comedy films Two Weeks Notice, a romantic comedy film in 2002, Music and Lyrics, American romantic comedy in 2007, Did You Hear About the Morgans, an American romantic comedy thriller film in 2009, The Rewrite, American romantic comedy film in 2014, and Noelle, an American Christmas film in 2019.

    After college, he moved to Los Angeles and served as a staff writer and later supervised producers from 1984 to 1989 on NBC’s Family Ties, an NBC sitcom movie. He also wrote films, such as Life with Mickey, a comedy film in 1993, and the remake of The Out-of-Towners, a comedy film, in 1999. He has been an active director, producer, and screenwriter since 1984.

    He wrote and directed few television shows like Sweet Valley High, an American comedy-drama series in 1994, Monty, an American sitcom aired on Fox in 1994, and Pride and Joy, an American sitcom that aired from NBC in 1995.

    He was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 22, 1959. He finished with a degree in English from Binghamton University and attended New York University School of Law for a year. He met his wife Linda in college.
