Jean Laviron was a French film director and screenwriter. He directed many films: Un amour de parapluie, a short cinema film and Descendez, on vous demande in 1951; Au diable la vertu, a comedy film and Légère et court vêtue, a French comedy film in 1953; Soirs de Paris and Yours Truly, Blake, comedy crime film in 1954; Les Motards in 1959; Les Heritiers in 1960; L’inspecteur Leclerc enquete in 1962; Mon filleul et moi in 1965; Les créatures du bon Dieu in 1967; Ça vous arrivera demain in 1970; Erreurs judiciaires, TV serial in 1975; Preuve à l'appui (TV serial) in 1978; and Par-devant notaire in 1979.

He was the screenwriter of the following films: Les Derniers jours de Pompéi, by Marcel L'Herbier, in 1950; Descendez, on vous demande in 1951; Au diable la vertu and Légère et court vêtue in 1953; Soirs de Paris in 1954; Les Motards in 1959; Les Héritiers in 1960; Mon filleul et moi in 1965; Par-devant notaire in 1979.

Laviron was the assistant director for some movies as well: Rome-Paris-Rome, an Italian comedy film by Luigi Zampa in 1951; The Queen's Necklace, French historical drama film, and Happy Go Lucky, French comedy film by Marcel L'Herbier, both in 1946; La vie de boheme, French-Italian drama film by Marcel L-Herbier in 1945; L'Honorable Catherine in 1943 by Marcel L-Herbier; and La Nuit fantastique, French fantasy film by Marcel L'Herbier in 1942.

Jean Laviron was born in Paris on April 26, 1915 and died in Fresneaux-Montchevreuil on February 15, 1987.
