Original Vintage Movie Posters @ Film/Art Gallery

Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of the vintage original action film Goldfinger posters, where we provide a substantial choice of artwork for the cinema's ultimate action and thriller film series.

Goldfinger is a spy film, released in 1964. It is the third movie of the James Bond series produced by Eon Productions and stars Sean Connery as the MI6 agent Bond character. The film is based on the 1959 novel of the same name by Ian Fleming. Goldfinger also stars Honor Blackman and Gert Fröbe alongside alongside Shirley Eaton as iconic Bond girl Jill Masterson. Produced by Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, the franchise entry marked the debut of four-time Bond director, Guy Hamilton.

The theatrical release vintage movie poster was designed by Robert Brownjohn

As per the movie plot, James Bond (Sir Sean Connery) is back to business. His next mission takes him to Fort Knox, where Auric Goldfinger and his henchman are attempting to raid Fort Knox and obliterate the world economy. In order to save the planet again, Bond must become friends with Goldfinger and avoid Goldfinger's personal pilot, the sexy Pussy Galore. The movie had what was then considered a large budget of three million dollars. This was the equivalent of the combined budgets of Dr. No and From Russia With Love, and was the original Bond film classified as a box-office blockbuster.

Many things introduced within the film appeared in many subsequent Bond films, like the extensive use of technology and gadgets by Bond, an in-depth pre-credits sequence that stood largely alone from the main storyline, multiple foreign locales, and tongue-in-cheek humor. Goldfinger was the first Bond film to win an Oscar and opened to a largely favorable critical reception. The film was a financial success, recouping its budget in two weeks.

In 1999, it was ranked #70 on the BFI Top 100 British films list compiled by the British Film Institute.

Film/Art Gallery's movie posters are original prints and film poster collectibles. These are original Goldfinger posters. We don't carry movie poster reproductions or reprints of any kind.
