Original Vintage Movie Posters @ Film/Art Gallery

Welcome to the Film/Art Gallery collection of vintage original Claudia Cardinale movie posters, highlighting some of her critically acclaimed performances.

Claudia Cardinale was born on April 15th, 1938 in Tunisia. Like other Italian female film stars, Cardinale’s ticket into the film  industry was through a beauty pageant. The international actress was fluent in Italian, French, English, Arabic, and Spanish. Considered the epitome of beauty and grace, Cardinale has graced over 900 magazine covers in 25 different countries. Her career boasts roles in some of the greatest films in cinematic history including movies such as Federico Fellini’s 8 ½, Rocco and His Brothers, The Leopard by Luchino Visconti, and Fitzcarraldo by Werner Herzog.

After her major break in the Senilità, Cardinale became an international sensation in the aforementioned classic Italian comedy drama, Federico Fellini’s 8 ½. She was referred to as a “camera man’s dream” by the film’s cinematographer, Conrad L. Hall. He believed that she was a faultless piece of nature, and nothing could go wrong while capturing her image. Our Archive boasts a wide assortment of posters for 8 ½ from all over the world.

Fitzcarraldo is an epic adventure drama film that won the hearts of audiences with gripping performances by the lead actors Claudia Cardinale and Klaus Kinski. One of the collection’s Fitzcarraldo posters showcases the artwork of Jean Mascii, depicting Kinski pointing towards the steamship that he has to transport in the movie.

Film/Art Gallery’s Claudia Cardinale vintage original movie poster collection also features the re-release poster for The Leopard by Visconti. The poster features three of the main cast members, including Cardinale. Another poster for The Queens, a multi-episode comedy is a depiction of class, elegance, and empowerment molded into one.
