Donovan “Don” Letts (January 10, 1956) is a British film director, musician, and DJ. He is the videographer for The Clash and co-founded the band Big Audio Dynamite in 1984. He is known for Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), working with guitarist Mick Jones before he left in 1990. He directed the Musical Youth, The Pretenders, The Psychedelic Furs, and Elvis Costello and feature documentaries, like The Punk Rock Movie (1977), and recorded an EP, Steel Leg v the Electric Dread, with Keith Levene in 1978.

Letts, inspired by Jamaican music and seeing Bob Marley's gigs at the Hammersmith Odeon, started to dub and reggae records, introducing those sounds to the London punk scene which influenced The Clash and other bands. He is on the Super Black Market Clash EP and used the fame and money from DJing with Acme story to make his first film, The Punk Rock Movie (1978). He managed to get the band The Slits open for The Clash during the White Riot tour and formed Screaming Target in 1990.

Letts directed the music documentary The Clash: Westway to the World (2000), he published his autobiography, Culture Clash: Dread Meets Punk Rockers in 2006, and presents a weekly show on BBC Radio 6 Music, as of April 2009. He was photographed by Dean Chalkley, featured in the exhibition Return of the Rudeboy at Somerset House in the middle of 2014. Letts' unique contribution to music was recognized on October 2013 and was presented with a BASCA Gold Badge of Merit.
