  • Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Marco Leto vintage movie posters from his critically acclaimed catalog of timeless cinematic contributions.

Marco Leto (January 18, 1931 – April 21, 2016) was an Italian screenwriter, television, and film director who started his career in a large number of films. In 1965, he started with Radiotelevisione italiana, a national broadcasting company of Italy which he directed several serials and TV movies.

Leto made his film directorial debut in 1973 with the critically appreciated Black Holiday (La villeggiatura), a 1973 Italian political drama film directed by Leto, starring Adolfo Celi as Commissioner Rizzuto, Adalberto Maria Merli as Franco Rossini, and John Steiner as Scagnetti. Leto kept active in the following years both in cinema and in television. His other Italian films are Al piacere di rivederla, a 1976 Italian giallo-comedy film directed by Marco Leto, based on the novel Ritratto di provincia in rosso by Paolo Levi. He co-wrote the screenplay for the Italian drama film Dear Parents (Cari genitori) (1973) together with Enrico Maria Salerno, Giuseppe Berto, Lina Wertmüller, and Di Geronimo. The film was directed by Enrico Maria Salerno, wherein Florinda Bolkan was awarded with the David di Donatello Award for Best Actress.

The Italian biographical drama film Giovanni Falcone in 1993 was written and directed by Giuseppe Ferrara, based on real life events of the prosecuting magistrate Giovanni Falcone, who was killed by the mafia in 1992. The film stars Michele Placido as Giovanni Falcone, Anna Bonaiuto as Francesca Morvillo, and Marco Leto as Antonino Caponnetto. Leto continued the following years, wherein he kept active both in cinema and in television.

Film/Art Gallery’s collection of original Marco Leto movie posters include a French medium (31x47) poster of La Villeggiatura, an Obscure Italian anti-Fascism drama; aka 'Black Holiday'. The collection also includes other Marco Leto posters.
