All That Jazz is an American musical drama film directed by Bob Fosse in 1979. Written by Robert Alan Aurthur and Bob Fosse, the film is a semi-autobiographical fantasy inspired by aspects of Fosse's life and career as a dancer, choreographer, and director. The film was based on Fosse's manic effort to edit his film Lenny while simultaneously directing the 1975 Broadway musical, "Chicago".

Roy Scheider gives the performance of his career as Joe Gideon, whose debilitating work schedule - working on Broadway by day and altering his most recent motion picture by night - and amphetamines, booze, and sex are putting his wellbeing at serious hazard. Fosse burrows into Gideon’s intellect, rendering his interior world a phantasmagoric display. Collected with visionary editing that produces moves that come lively on-screen as never before, and flooding with glorious footwork by the likes of Ann Reinking, Leland Palmer, and Ben Vereen, All That Jazz pushes the musical genre to individual profundities and virtuosic tasteful statures.

It got its title from the Kander and Ebb tune "All That Jazz" in that production. The film won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1980.
