    Agnès Laurent was born in Lyon, Rhône, France as Josette Chouleur, on January 28th, 1936. She passed away on February 16th, 2010 in Grenoble, Isère, France.

    She was a French actress, known in the United Kingdom for playing the title role in, A French Mistress. A French Mistress is a 1960 British comedy film directed by Roy Boulting and starring Cecil Parker, James Robertson Justice. It is based on a stage play, A French Mistress by Sonnie Hale under the pen name Robert Monro, first produced in 1955 at the Theatre Royal Windsor. 

    Laurent mainly acted in France and is known for The Night of the Great Attack in 1959, A. Constant in 1977 and Soft Skin on Black Silk in 1959.

    In 1957, she had a role as Monette Landry in the film Amour de Poche. Amour de poche (Girl in His Pocket), is a French comedy fantasy film, written by France Roche and is directed by Pierre Kast. The plot for the film was based on a novel Diminishing Draft of Waldemar Kaempffert.

    Agnès Laurent memorably took part in the 1957 film Mademoiselle Strip-tease and The Green Devils of Monte Cassino, in 1958. Some of the French actress' other notable roles include Ilona in The Big Show in 1960, as Mary Kirk in Mary Had a Little… in 1961, and as Irène, la femme du gouverneur in the film Famous Love Affairs, in 1961.
