  • Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Adrienne King vintage movie posters from her critically acclaimed catalog of timeless cinematic performances.

Adrienne King is an American stage, film and voice actress, a former stuntwoman and a visual artist. She has played numerous roles though she is best known for playing Alica Hardy in the slasher horror film Friday the 13th by Sean S. Cunningham in 1980, also for reprising her role for the sequel, Friday the 13th Part 2, in 1981.

Adrienne King was born on July 21st, 1960 in Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York. When she was six months old, she appeared in her first commercial, and she appeared in the television film, Inherit the Wind, when she was five. This was what got her into acting, and she went on to do a lot of commercials and act in Off-Broadway productions and local theater. Adrienne King also appeared in Between the Lines and Saturday Night Fever in 1977, and Hair in 1979 as an extra. At the same time, she studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

After her role in the Friday the 13th films, King went into seclusion after suffering harassment by an aggressive stalker. In the supernatural comedy film Ghostbusters in 1984, she was a stuntwoman and an extra. In the 90s, Adrienne King engaged in voice acting and dubbing. Her voice can be heard in films including The Man Without Face, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and Titanic.

In 2009, Adrienne King returned onscreen for the first time in 27 years when she appeared in the film Psychic Experiment. She also appeared in the Welsh Christmas horror movie, Silent Night, Bloody Night: The Homecoming, All American Bully in 2011, and The Butterfly Room in 2012
