Paul Aaron (born April 23rd, 1943) is an American film director and producer who rose to prominence with "The Prime Of Miss Jean Brodie", starring Oscar-winning actress Kim Hunter. After finishing his education at Bennington College, he relocated to Los Angeles and became the Casting and New Programs Director for the Mark Taper Forum.

Aaron notably directed the "The Tenth Man", starring Richard Dreyfuss and was awarded the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Award as best director of the year. He also directed the hit The Miracle Worker (1979), starring Patty Duke and Melissa Gilbert for which the NBC Special Event debut got the network's highest ratings and gave Paul a Director's Guild nomination, a Golden Globe nomination, the Christopher Award and Director’s prize from the Monte Carlo Film Festival. The Miracle Worker also won three Emmys, including one for Patty Duke as "Lead Actress in a Dramatic Special" and the Emmy as "Outstanding Dramatic Special" of the 1979 season.

The award-winning Hollywood filmmaker sold the management division of his production company in 1992, "Elsboy Entertainment”. Paul Aaron went on to produce the HBO mini-series titled Laurel Avenue, which Pulitzer prize-winning critic Tom Shales called "a golden moment in the history of television". The talented creative's last credit as a director was the 1994 movie Untamed Love, starring Cathy Lee Crosby and John Getz, and his last comedy film  was “Skills Like This”, in 2007.

In his personal life, Paul Aaron is the stepfather of actor Keanu and Kim Reeves and was married to his designer Patricia Taylor from September 1970 to 1971 which ended in a divorce.
