Italian film director and screenwriter Giuseppe Maria Scotese (January 26, 1916 – May 19, 2002) was noted for his films Fear No Evil (1945) starring Fosco Giachetti, Adriana Benetti and Liliana Laine based on a book by Diego Fabbri about the life of Benedict of Nursia, and The Models of Margutta (1946), starring Claudio Gora and Carlo Campanini which was set amongst the artistic community on Via Margutta in Rome.

Scotese also directed The Great Dawn (1947) starring Renée Faure, Rossano Brazzi and Giovanni Grasso featuring the Greek actress Yvonne Sanson. The Italian-Spanish Carmen (1953), with a complete cast from Ana Esmeralda, Fausto Tozzi and Mariella Lotti and was based on Prosper Mérimée's novel Carmen, The Red Cloak (1955), starring Patricia Medina, Fausto Tozzi and Jean Murat, Pirate of the Half Moon (1957) released as Pirate of the Half Moon starring John Derek and Questo amore ai confini del mondo in 1960. In the film Miracles Still Happen (1974), Scotese featured the story of sole survivor in the December 1971 crash of Flight 508 Juliane Diller,

He continued working as the writer of The Night of the Great Attack (1959), an action-adventure and dramatic life of Cesare Borgia with co-writer Arnaldo Marrosu, Acid Delirium of the Senses (1968), a film showing the effects of drug taking which leads to hallucinations, starring Bud Thompson, Bruna Caruso and Annabella Andreoli and the documentary Cannibali domani (1983) written by Hughuette Coulaubon, starring Dario Penne. He died in 2002 at the age of 85 in Italy.

Our Giuseppe Scotese poster collection also includes the Italian 2 Foglio (39x55) of Acid Delirio Dei Sensi in good condition with toning throughout, two large snipes (one with theater info at top, one for rating restriction at the bottom), tears, some paper loss, a great deal of tape all along folds of reverse. This is a great poster for the obscure Italian drug-themed exploitation.
