Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Richard Quine vintage movie posters from his critically acclaimed catalog of timeless cinematic creations.

American stage and film director, actor, and singer Richard Quine (November 12, 1920 – June 10, 1989) made his film debut in the drama Cavalcade (1933). Some of his earliest work includes The World Changes (1933), Counsellor-at-Law (1933), Jane Eyre, Dames, Wednesday's Child (1934) with Frankie Thomas, Little Men (1934), Life Returns (1935), A Dog of Flanders (1935), and Dinky (1935) with Jackie Cooper.

His role in the stage version of My Sister Eileen led his assignment to MGM, co-starring in Babes on Broadway (1941), starring Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney. His films include Full of Life (1956) with Judy Holliday, Operation Mad Ball (1957) with Jack Lemmon and Ernie Kovacs, Book and Candle (1958) with James Stewart, Novak, Kovacs and, Lemmon, and same cast of characters in The Notorious Landlady (1962), co-written by Edwards.

In 1964, Quine directed and produced Paris When It Sizzles, with William Holden and Audrey Hepburn. He worked with Warner Brothers and directed Sex and the Single Girl (1964), with Tony Curtis and Natalie Wood. It was followed by How to Murder Your Wife (1965), with Jack Lemmon, and Synanon (1965) for Columbia. His two films for Paramount was Oh Dad Poor Dad, Mamma's Hung You in the Closet and I'm Feelin' So Sad (1967) and A Talent for Loving (1969).

Quine was married four times, lastly with Diana Balfour until his death in 1989 due to poor health and depression. He shot himself in the head at his Los Angeles home at the age of 68.
