Welcome to the official Film/Art Gallery collection of original Muhammad Ali vintage movie posters from his critically acclaimed catalog of timeless sports contributions.

Born and raised in Kentucky, Cassius Marcellus “Clay” Jr. or “The Greatest” Muhammad Ali (January 17th, 1942 – June 3rrd, 2016) was an American professional boxer of the 20th century. He won a gold medal in the light heavyweight division at the 1960 Summer Olympics at the age of 18. The champion boxer notably became a Muslim after 1961, and eventually took the name, Muhammad Ali. At the age of 22, he won the world heavyweight championship from Sonny Liston in a major upset in 1964.

During his life, Muhammad Ali was found guilty of draft evasion, stripped of his boxing titles, and had not fought for nearly four years as an athlete. He returned to the ring in 1970 with a win over Jerry Quarry and eventually his conviction was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court in June of 1971.

"The Greatest" had a match with Joe Frazier and with George Foreman which was arguably the greatest sporting event in boxing history and was watched by one billion viewers worldwide. Muhammad Ali also attained success as a musician and featured as a writer releasing two autobiographies until his boxing retirement in 1981. In his personal life, the world-renowned boxer was married four times and had nine children. His wife Lonnie remained married to him at the death; the couple shares one son together, Asaad. In 1984, Ali made public his diagnosis of Parkinson's syndrome and had been suffering from spinal stenosis which limited his mobility and ability to communicate.

Muhammad Ali received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President George W. Bush in 2005. The legendary boxing champ died on June 3rd, 2016, in Arizona, after being hospitalized at the age of 74.
