Original John Huston Movie Posters
John Huston movie posters span four decades of Hollywood greatness — authentic original prints from a career that moved through film noir, adventure, literary adaptation, and the late art cinema of the 1970s with equal authority. Huston directed Humphrey Bogart in three of his finest performances; he worked with Katharine Hepburn, Jack Nicholson, Angelica Huston, and virtually every major figure of the classical and New Hollywood eras.
Shop for original John Huston campaign materials across the full range of his output. The Warner Bros. noir period is the natural starting point: the half-sheets and lobby card sets for The Maltese Falcon (1941) and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) — both with Bogart — are among the most actively traded items in classic Hollywood film noir collecting. The AfricanQueen (1951), with Bogart and Katharine Hepburn in their Oscar-winning roles, produced some of the most cheerful and colorful advertising art of the 1950s.
The mid-career international period produced material of a different character: Moulin Rouge (1952), Beat the Devil (1953), Moby Dick (1956), and The Misfits (1961) — with Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable — all generated both American and European campaign materials that reflect the specific visual cultures of their production contexts. The late period — Fat City (1972), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), and Prizzi's Honor (1985) with Jack Nicholson — returned Huston to the American mainstream and produced campaigns that hold their own against anything in his earlier career. Genuine first-release examples across all formats are now scarce in fine condition.
