Robert Anthony De Niro Jr. (born August 17th, 1943) is one of the greatest American actors of all time. He is also a producer and a director. His first major television appearance was in Greetings (1968). In 1973, he gained recognition with his role as a Major League Baseball player in the sports drama Bang the Drum Slowly.

He is mostly known for his work in crime films, thrillers, and partnerships with filmmaker Martin Scorsese. De Niro received various awards, including two Academy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award, and the Cecil B. DeMille Award. In 2016, he received a special award from President Barack Obama, The Presidential Medal of Freedom. In 1980, De Niro portrayed Jake LaMotta in Scorsese's factual drama Raging Bull which won him a second Academy Award, for Best Actor.

De Niro produced and starred in his first live-action animation comedy in 2000, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle. He was the voice of the Fearless Leader, who is a dictator and employer of two mobsters. After numerous comedy films, De Niro landed a lead role in the crime thriller 15 Minutes in 2001.
