We've got some new releases from the Saul Bass Archive, including - for the first time - the sublime, iconic silkscreen for MAN WITH THE GOLDEN ARM, featuring Saul's original, unaltered design for the film (before United Artists added photos of Sinatra, Kim Novak and Eleanor Parker) But first, we want to say a huge thanks to everyone at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Margaret Herrick Library for last week's event "Words On Film: Inside the Saul Bass Collection". This month we've got 130+ new arrivals, and the list is led by one of the greatest, most enduring and iconic posters ever created: the U.S. 1 Sheet for Alfred Hitchcock's VERTIGO, designed by Saul Bass. We've also got 1 Sheets for GIANT, SOUND OF MUSIC, BEN HUR, THE GODFATHER, STAR WARS, JAWS, THE THING (1982), SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, and Jodorowsky's HOLY MOUNTAIN From Japan there's LE MANS STB, Ozu's GOOD MORNING, Melville's LE SAMOURAI and Ann-Margret in THE SWINGER. From Poland we've got BACK TO THE FUTURE, NEVERENDING STORY, 3 WOMEN and Kurosawa's RED BEARD.
