This is a rare test print of Saul Bass' unused design for Spielberg's film, printed on newsprint stock to evaluate its impact in newspaper ads.
Steven Spielberg commissioned Saul to create a poster for the harrowing, Oscar-winning Holocaust drama Schindler's List. This was one of two final designs that Saul submitted, and it was printed in limited quantities. There is some mystery as to why they were printed, since the studio ultimately chose a completely different design by another artist.
