My Fair Lady is a musical drama film in 1964 which is revised from the 1956 Lerner and Loewe stage musical based on George Bernard Shaw's 1913 stage play Pygmalion. With writers Alan Jay Lerner and directed by George Cukor, the film tells of a destitute Cockney flower-seller named Eliza Doolittle who catches a pompous phonetics teacher, Henry Higgins, as he casually bets that he may educate her to speak "proper" English, in this manner making her presentable within the tall society of Edwardian London.

The film is starred by Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle and Rex Harrison as Henry Higgins, with Stanley Holloway, Gladys Cooper, and Wilfrid Hyde-White in supporting roles. A critical and commercial success, it became the second highest-grossing film of 1964 and won eight Academy Awards, counting Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Director. In 1998, the American Film Institute named it the 91st most prominent American film of all time. In 2006 it was ranked eighth within the AFI's Greatest Motion picture Musicals list.

In 2018, the film was chosen for conservation within the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being socially, truly, or stylishly critical.
